Last night marked the end of the three most amazing years of my life. You see, it was my university graduation this week and last night was the big graduation ball. It is so sad because who knows when I will see many of these people again? Last night was the last chance to drink together with all of my friends, as well as those who I am maybe not so close with; also those who I managed to lose contact with along the way.

I ran into my housemate from first year who I've not seen since we moved out, and it was so nice to see how she has grown in the absence of our friendship. There was an old flame who seems to have upset every girl he has ever met, but talking to him reconfirmed how little he has changed after all this time, making my decision to leave him behind all the more easy. But I really hope that there are not many more of these kinds of decisions because all I want is to stay with everyone and have them stay with me in my heart until I am old and wrinkly.

My housemates and I before the Graduation Ball, it was sad to say goodbye!

So this morning marks the beginning of a brand new chapter of my life. No more education, it is time to move forward and carve my own life.

I want to travel: experience everything I possibly can. I want to be fulfilled and know that when I look back on my life that I will not regret a thing.

So to start with, I am beginning this new life with an exciting trip to Barcelona with some of the wonderful people from my drama course. Then I will spend potentially my last ever summer in Brighton, working at the pub and soaking in the sun on the beach, while saving money for my next adventure.

Although I have already achieved so much, I can’t help but feel like my life is just beginning and I cannot wait to embrace it, with everyone that I love making it all the more worthwhile.

I guess that is all I wanted to say.. that I am so grateful for everyone I have in my life, and that so far I would not change a thing -apart from maybe that waste of time in first year where I binge watched episodes of Pokemon instead of revising. No harm done though.

So if anyone is actually reading this, lets all raise a metaphorical glass to embracing life and the people who surround us, because that is what will make our lives special.
